April 15 was a very special celebration as the Rotary Club of Richmond presented a Paul Harris Fellow to Past President Ken Dennis for his dedication and generosity during his term as President. PP Ken also presented a Paul Harris Fellow to his devoted wife Sarah for her support.
 
 
 Also recognized was local resident, Amanda Bostik who spearheaded and brought to fruition an accessible playground for all children including her daughter Gemma and kids with mobility challenges. Through Amanda's years of effort, he new playground in Richmond's King George Park is in the final completion stage.
 
 
 
 Lois and Gilles Bouchard, Founders of SOS Children's Village, BC were presented Paul Harris Fellows. They both dedicated many years to helping children in foster care, care, support and nurturing which our systems currently cannot adequately provide.
 
 
 
The Rotary Club of Richmond celebrated the induction of 3 new Rotarians. Daphne Wu, Kenny Chiu and Chak Au are now the world's newest Rotarians, joining over 1.2 million other around the world.  District Governor Ken Wilson presided over the induction ceremony.  DG Ken stressed the importance of how getting together regularly at Rotary Club meetings form the basis of fellowship and create the spirit and energy for Service Above Self.  We warmly welcome Daphne, Kenny and Chak who join Daniel and Dean who joined our club in March. Thanks to our Member Chair James Hsieh for his hard work.
