We have the pleasant surprise visit from DG Elect Lyn Stroshin today. It was very nice to meet her and get better acquainted with our incoming District Governor.  Also visiting today were Myette Acha, Richmond Branch Manager of St. John's Ambulance and representative Maloo, they provided a short introduction of St. John's Ambulance and how their services intertwined so well with Rotary.  

 

Today's star though was Eva Sun, as she presented her classification talk.  We enjoyed an engaging and informative story as she weaved her life story with her career path and her passions of service.  If you missed this classification talk, mark your calendars for our next meeting when Daphne and Dean bring their life stories to life.

May 21, 2016 marks a significant day in our District as our Rotaract Clubs got together for a joint installation dinner at Burnaby Golf Club. We were joined by DG John Anderson and wife Claire, DG Elect Lyn Stroshin and husband Alex, several Rotarians, a few parents and many new energetic Rotaractors. Past Presidents of our local Rotaract Clubs were acknowledged for their service and then the incoming Presidents were presented their pins to mark their takeover of office. Prince George and Squamish were also recognized, although they could not attend. A fun filled evening enjoyed by all, with a great buffet, much laughter and well known Rotary fellowship.
