James joined Rotary in 2015. He immigrated from Taiwan to Canada in 1977 and has been involved in the community. He is 2016-17 Chair of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce BC and received 2015 Business Excellence Award.
President James updated us on his plan for the year. Then handed over last year's flag to now Past President Chris. Sgt-at-Arm Harry again did an excellent job.
Benefits of Visiting Rotarians
This past Wednesday, our visitor was Mutsu Kawai from Kobe, Japan. He has been a regular visitor for several summers. After Rotary, Becky and I went to his home in Richmond, met his grandchildren and enjoyed some tea together. Mutsu and his wife Junko have made it a point to visit our club each year for fellowship and to share our Rotary experiences. We are most grateful for his visits, as we get the opportunity to get more acquainted. In past, when a make-up meeting was available in a far away place, this writer has always been welcomed and extended a warm friendly hand. These are one of the many joys of being a Rotarian, and should travels take one away from their home club, there will be a warm welcome at the other Rotary Clubs. - PP Keith
