Rotary

Joining the Richmond Rotary Club and Rotary International as a member on February 01, 2002, he has held positions as Director-International Services, Community Services, Club Secretary, Vice President/ President Elect and President 2009-10. He is a passionate Rotarian and graduated from the Rotary Leadership Institute in 2009. Rotary has allowed him the opportunities to meet many people from around the world and the opportunity to help and assist in both local community programs & projects and international humanitarian projects.  

Profession

Christopher Browne is the General Manager at the Accent Inns Burnaby. He is a dynamic and focused Hotel Management Professional with experience in yield management, strategic planning, sales & marketing, customer relations, negotiations, staff supervision and operational management and also a Licensed Real Estate Consultant. He likes to initiate positive change through effective leadership. He was nominated and became a finalist in the 2011 Richmond Chamber and Commerce - Business Leadership Award. 

 
Chris has managed other full service hotels in Vancouver and previously worked with the Oberoi Hotels Worldwide Group. He is the immediate Past President and a Director of the Executive Board at Tourism Richmond a DMAI certified Destination Marketing Organization and also a past Member of the Board for the British Columbia & Yukon Hotels Association (BCHA) -Zone 1. He had been involved in teaching and sharing industry-related experiences with various hospitality colleges and educational establishments in the lower mainland and the Greater Vancouver area.

Personal

Chris is married to Arlene and has two children, Leon and Leanne. He also enjoys golfing, swimming.
