Rotary
- Tony was introduced to Rotary by Hugh McCue, the owner operator of McCue Drugs.
- In Nov 1962 became a member six-months after the charter of the Rotary Club of Richmond; the club met at the Skyline Hotel.
- Have held most of the directorships and been president in 1969 and 1993.
- Feel great pride in the many local and international projects that the club has initiated and completed. Rotary has enriched my life and that of our family. The spirit of Rotary has passed on to our son through Rotaract and our granddaughter through Interact"
- Nancy is one of the driving force behind the Rotary Hospice Project.
Personal
- Born in Edmonton on December 15, 1928 and moved to East Vancouver a year later.
- In 1939, moved to Richmond and graduated from Richmond High School.
- Attended UBC, graduating in agriculture with honours chemistry in 1951 and in medicine in 1955.
- Interned at St. Paul's Hospital, did locums in Campbell River and Hope,
- and in 1957, opened a family practice in Richmond which lasted 35 years.
- In 1961, Tony met a young nurse Nancy who was working at St. Vincent's Hospital. One year later, she became his wife. For 45 years, Nancy has been Tony's partner and best friend, mother to his three children and grandmother to seven.
