On 23 February 1905, Paul Harris and three friends gathered for what would become known as the first Rotary club meeting. Harris’s desire for camaraderie among business associates grew into an international network of 1.2 million volunteers who work to improve health, alleviate poverty, and promote peace. National Immunization Day - India
PDG Chris and Penny Offer are currently in India participating in the National Immunization Day. "we went door to door in Nuh (Mewat), India to mop up after the NID (National Immunization Day) yesterday. We broke into small teams to work with local health officials to look for children missed yesterday. Our team visited 52 homes and found 48 children under age 5 that we vaccinated. We also found many children with a purple pinky indicating they had been vaccinated. We went into one squatter’s camp. What a way to spend Rotary’s 110 anniversary!!" - PDG Chris
