Feb 25 Joint Chinese New Year Dinner

Mark your calendar, our club will be having a joint Chinese New Year dinner with the Richmond Sunset Club. Bring your spouse, we will advise cost, location and time at a later date. Our regular luncheon meeting will be cancelled.

February 4 meeting highlights

We extend a warm welcome to our many visitors. Chak Au, Richmond City Councilor, Mark Mansfield and Monica Chui from Canadian Liver Foundation, Major Ed Chiu from Salvation Army and Dean Hsieh (Jame's brother) from National Bank.

It was very nice to get together for great conversation over a delicious meal.  Monica, Director of Regional Business Development for the Liver Foundation presented a very passionate overview of liver disease, as she calls it, "silent killer".  One who has liver disease may not realize it for many years. As one may imagine, finding a cure is their primary objective.  They are striving for more funding and have several major programs on the go. Read more on this "silent killer" here.
