 Darcy Long and his husband Doug.       DG Darcy and her husband Doug are 
 both members of Rotary Club of the Sunshine Coast-Sechelt.   So why Rotar
 y? When the horrific tsunami struck Thailand in 2004\, G Darcy and Doug sa
 w firsthand the power of Rotary in action. The pair was awed by the way th
 e six local Phuket Rotary clubs worked together in Kamala Bay restoring th
 e locals’ fishing boats. In 2005 friends invited them to join their Rota
 ry club\, and they never looked back.    Darcy has been active in the Su
 nshine Coast business community for many years\, owning and operating fuel
  distribution and hospitality businesses. She has a strong record of leade
 rship and leadership development in Rotary with past roles as club preside
 nt\, District Foundation Committee co-chair and District Conference Commit
 tee chair.
