 iteracy Month - Bob Blacker MSM  Supporting Education is one of Rotary's s
 ix causes. We support education for all children and literacy for children
  and adults. PDG Bob is the Leader of the Write to Read Project BC\, an
  equal partnership project between participating indigenous communities\,
  Rotarians\, Government House and the volunteers of the Write to Read Team
 . The project is to deliver books\, libraries\, computers\, tablets & high
  speed Internet connections to remote First Nation communities in BC.     
 Bob is a retired New Westminster Police Inspector. He joined Rotary in 19
 96 and became District Governor 2008-2009. Bob became an Honorary Aide de
  Camp (HADC) to the Lt. Governor of British Columbia. In 2007 His Honour\,
  Steven Point\, and Bob started to work together to get books into isolate
 d First Nations Communities in British Columbia. In June\, 2017 Bob is awa
 rded a Meritorious Service Medal for his work on the Write to Read Projec
 t. He is also recipient of the 2016 Meritorious Service Medal of Canada\,
  2012 Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal\, 2003 Queens Golden Jubilee Medal.
