 6047780162?pwd=WjdCUWd5N1FyWnVicFI5M3FhSUZ6dz09 Hybrid Meeting - "Canada's
Chinese Gene - A sense of Belonging\, Ownership and Contribution" by Co-a
uthor Kenny Zhang This book was first published in  simplified Chine
se in 2017 for celebrating Canada's 150 anniversary as one of "Canada 150
Publishing Program".  It is from the perspectives of Chinese Canadians a
nd Chinese communities in Canada. As a book on Chinese Canadians and Chine
se communities\, the book inevitably touches upon Chinese phenomena and el
ements such as: the Chinese language\, Chinese New Year\, Chinatown\, old
and new generations of Chinese immigrants\, etc. However\, these Chinese p
henomena and elements that refer to China today cannot be equated at all t
o the “China” of 150 years ago.  The purpose of this book is not only
to describe Chinese phenomena and elements in Canada\, but also to discus
s and reflect with the readers what these phenomena and elements have mean
t to Canada as a country. Kenny Zhang is Research Director at CCS100\, a c
ommunity based research organization\, and President of A2Z Capital. He ha
s worked on public policy issues for more than 30 years in both China and
Canada. He also has over 6 years’ experience in business development and
in the private sector. In his spare time\, Kenny contributes  regularly
to  Chinese  and  English  media  as  a  subject  expert. He ha
s served as board director in many business and community organizations. K
enny was born in Shanghai\, and has become a resident of British Columbia
 since 2000.
