   DG Don has been active in Rotary for more than 30 years. He is a Past P
 resident of the Rotary Club of Vancouver (2002-2003) and has held many dif
 ferent positions with his club. He has been active with District 5040 Stra
 tegic Planning\, a member of the District Foundation Committee and was a P
 ETS Trainer. He was named Rotarian of the Year in 5040 in 2014.   Don is 
 a Paul Harris Society Member and a Major Donor to the Rotary Foundation. B
 oth Don and Deb are Bequest Society members.   He was awarded a Queen Eli
 zabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002 for his active community involvemen
 t and was named 2005 Business Person of the Year by the Squamish Chamber o
 f Commerce for his work with the West Coast Railway Heritage Park in that 
 community. He has been named a recipient of the 2016 Caring Canadian Award
