Nice surprises today with guest Jimmy Yan from Access Pro Bono, guest of Dean's, Dheshaan Bal, son of Harmon and Cecilia Li, wife of Philip. Also great to see Lulu, Daphne and Antonio, all who have been away or tied up with business for a few weeks.
News and events updates from President James:
- April 18 luncheon at the Curling Club - Alvin Leung classification talk and celebration of World Heritage Day.
- May 16 luncheon at the Pathway Clubhouse - we will be attending and sponsoring their BBQ lunch event. Our usual lunch revenue will be used to pay for burgers, chips and a drink to 100-150 clients of Pathways.
- May 31 to June 3 District Conference in Squamish, the theme is "Peacing It Together"
- June 23 to 27 Rotary International Conference in Toronto, March 31 is last day for preregistration discount
- Rotary Leadership Institute level 1 in Squamish - recommend new members to attend, course registration will be subsidized by the club.
- March 17 Rotary Skates for the World - President James presented a cheque of $1,000. Our member Suna was skating and raised $1,000 for our Club Youth Projects.
- March 17-18 District Assembly/Grant Management - President Elect Dean summarized attending both seminars which Jacqueline and Suna also attended. All in all, a very full programme.
