The Rotary Club of Richmond was chartered in 1962, through the years many projects were undertaken. Over time, Community Projects have become part of the landscape, something one walks by without noticing.
One of these is the McDonald Beach project started in 1979 under the direction of Club President Harold Drobott. Eleven picnic tables and a water fountain were donated to the park and a plaque to mark the occasion was presented to Mayor Gil Blair in 1980.
Past President James Hsieh and Past Fundraisin Chair Daphne Wu visited the site today and happily found the plaque is still in place.
