Support Richmond Hospital Foundation
Past President Keith presented President Dean a hospital lab coat and stethoscope. It has been a tradition to pass on from president to president. The Richmond Hospital Foundation presented the Rotary Club of Richmond these in recognition of our significant contribution over many years. Read our history of supporting the Richmond Hospital Foundation....

What a Robust Luncheon
The topic on Wed Aug 29 luncheon was about B&B's in Richmond, why all the fuss?  Councillor Chak (member of Richmond Rotary) provided a quick outline of how the City works to create safe neighbourhoods, with an eye on public health, traffic control, general security and both a competitive and fair business environment.  Recent abuses with mega homes and multiple B&B's within close vicinity, prompted the City to respond with new control measures.  These measures now in place, address the many complaints that the City had been receiving. Past President James presented Juan a Certificate of Appreciation for his hard work.

When people get together, things happen.  Today, there wasn't really a structured programme, yet, we enjoyed a robust luncheon with an interesting and relevant topic.  We were joined today by Chak, Daphne and Harry, and we were happy to see them as each have been away for awhile.  Our visitor was Rotarian Grace Tsang from Richmond Sunset. We shared our happy dollar stories and a few laughs.  We celebrated Henry's and Philip's birthdays.  We also bid farewell to long time Rotarian Harry, as he is moving to Clearwater, BC.  So, Harry, so long for now.  Safe travels and happy retirement in Clearwater.  We hope you find a Rotary home, where once again you can exercise your humour and Rotary service.
