Gordon Kirland is an award winning and best selling author and humorist. In September of 2013, he was close to death with end stage of liver failure, fortunately, a liver had been found for a lifesaving transplant. His presentation will detail the story of his close call with dealth and the need for more organ donors in BC.

The 6th annual SOS Children's Village Run and Walk is going to be bigger and better than ever before! The Rotary Club of Richmond is managing it.
Join us at Richmond Olympic Oval on Sunday May 25th, 2014 to support SOS Children's Village BC. Collect pledges and participate in the 2K, 5K or 10K Walk/Run to help make a difference for over 9,000 BC children and youth in foster care.

Over 50% of the homeless are in or from the social welfare system
Our province's children are the future and there's a community obligation to give them the love and support that every child needs to grow into a healthy adult.

Name the winning book
The Rotary Foundation will celebrate 100 years of Doing Good in the World in 2016-17. To commemorate this momentous occasion, we commissioned Rotary member and author David Forward to write the definitive history of our Foundation. Every great book deserves an equally great name, so we're asking your help to choose one. From now through 15 June, you can vote for one of four selected titles or submit your own. To enter the lottery for a free copy of the book, please provide your name and email address on the survey. Ten winners will receive a book signed by the author, and one lucky winner will also receive a paid registration for two to the 2017 Rotary Convention in Atlanta. Both the winning title and the lottery winners will be announced in July. The book will be available in early 2016 in English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. Vote here
