The Four-Way Test
The Four-Way Test of the things we think, say or do is a test used by Rotarians world-wide as a moral code for personal and business relationships. The test can be applied to almost any aspect of life.

The test was created by Herbert J. Taylor in 1932 as he set out to save the Club Aluminum Products Distribution Company from bankruptcy. In 1940s when Taylor was an international director of Rotary, he offered the Four Way Test to Rotary,  and it was adopted by Rotary International in 1943. Never changed, these 24 words remained as one of Rotary's Guiding Principles. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages.

Rotary Youth Leadership Program
RYLA graduate Michelle Lau attended Rotary Youth Leadership Awards at Ness Lake near Prince George Apr 27-29. She spoke a little about her experience, some topics that were covered by speakers, then she went into some detail about two program speakers at RYLA that impressed her the most.  All in all she had a positive experience at RYLA and what she learned has changed her a little.  It was difficult for her to speak in front of a little audience, but she didn't show any fear.  She certainly handled her material very well and managed to delegate most of the talking to the audience.  She attended RYLA with her sister Olivia, both of whom collaborated on the speaking material.  Good job Michelle!  MIchelle and Olivia are daughters of proud Rotarians Bill and Cindy Lau.  Michelle studies at UBC and Olivia studies at SFU.
