Gateway Theatre is a non for profit organization that provides creative theatrical entertainment and training in the City of Richmond.  They feature about 6 performances during the year, which are enjoyed by the local community.  Whilst they do charge for their performances, they do depend on sponsorships, donations and support from the City.   Our guest speakers today were Elizabeth Ho, Development Manager and Ruth McIntosh, Education Manager, who presented a brief background on the Gateway Theatre as well as an introduction to the various programmes and services they provide. The Rotary Club of Richmond has used the Gateway for various fundraisers and has also contributed to the Gateway Academy for the purpose of training youth in theatre and theatre production. 

 

Visitors today were Assistant Governor Wayne Connorton and David Li Rong. David is Investment Advisor for GF Securities Co. Ltd. He wants to find out what Rotary does and also introduce Rotary to his clients. We love to see more of him in the future.
