Last month, we had the honor of presenting a major achievement. Long time Rotarian, Wilbur Walrond, achieved the Major Donor Level 1 of The Rotary Foundation for donating over $10,000 USD! Rotary Foundation Committee Chair, Dean, presented Wilbur a Major Donor lapel pin and a crystal recognition piece at our March 6 lunch meeting. Wilbur Walrond has been a Rotarian for 50 years! He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Richmond, the Rotary Club of Steveston, the Rotary Club of Ladner, and served as the president of the Richmond Rotary Club twice. And we are thrilled to announce Wilbur has returned to the Rotary of Club of Richmond as our newest member. Wilbur is a Structural Engineer. He has over 35 years of experience in the Real Estate industry, having worked as a Structural Engineer, Land Developer, and as a Realtor. Wilbur received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal in 2012 for his more than 50 years of continuous service to the community especially in assisting new immigrants from Trinidad and Tobago to settle in Canada. He has lived in Richmond since 1965. Welcome Back, Wilbur!
