Douglas is the Executive Director of SOS Children's Village BC. Our club will be managing the 6th annual SOS Village Run in May.
Celebrated Chinese New Year
Our club members, spouses and friends celebrated the year of Horse at the Floata Restaurant in Chinatown. This is an annual event hosted by the Chinatown Rotary Club, attended by hundreds of fellow Rotarians and friends.
Entertainment included the traditional Lion Dance, followed by musical presentations from the MM Vocal Studio, the Silk Bamboo Quartet of UBC Chinese Music Ensemble, and Mexican Tenor Gustavo Herrera. See more photos here
Welcome Rotarian from Mongolia
We are happy to meet Tuguldur Badarch from the Rotary Club of Khuree, Mongolia. His club was founded in 2001, a daughter club of the Rotary Club of Ulaanbaatar.
RC of Ulaanbaatar is the first Rotary Club founded in Mongolia, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Shatin, Hong Kong, the Club was official chartered on May 13, 1996. Since then, there are now 15 Rotary Clubs in Mongolia.
Gateway Theatre was fun
The comedy was fun, we all enjoyed it and had a great laugh. Some members and friends even met up for dinner before the show.
