Originating in Guangdong Province, Cantonese opera is one of the major categories in Chinese opera. Cantonese opera is popular in South China including Hong Kong, Macau and among Chinese communities in Southeast Asia. Cantonese opera is a traditional Chinese entertainment and art form "involving music, singing, martial arts, acrobatics, and acting". "Multi Voices One Heart (MVOH) is the name of an annual trans-Pacific Cantonese opera project. Due to the pandemic, its 2020 concert went virtual (live streamed from Hong Kong on May 23 and 24) to satisfy fans’ hunger for this well-loved heritage art. For every “like” on their Facebook Page and YouTube received before 25th June, 2020, U Sing Cantonese Opera Pavilion and its supporters together will donate $1 (CAD) and $10 (HKD) up to a maximum of $15,000 (CAD) and $100,000 (HKD) respectively to PCHC-Museum of Migration Society and the Wong Yue Sang Scholarship Foundation at the the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
