Christmas Cheer for Richmond Seniors
Richmond Club donated $1,000 towards Richmond Senior Christmas luncheon and members volunteered to deliver to their homes.

We are happy to receive a Thank-you letter from Henry Beh, Second Vice President of the Minoru Seniors Society…. “Please see attached photos taken this morning.  On behalf of Minoru Seniors Society, I would like to thank the Rotary Club of Richmond for the generous donation of $1,000 and volunteers to help with the 2022 Christmas meals for needy seniors. Thank you”

Thumbs up to Dean, Jacqueline, Madeline, Raymond, and Suna, despite the snowy and slippery roads on the morning of December 23, they bundled up to make the delivery and spread Christmas Cheers to the seniors.

Christmas Gala
Every year and especially at Christmas, we want to share holiday spirit of yuletide with one’s family and friends.  A handshake, a smile, a hug and a warm smile are things we all treasure. Over 50 attended our December 17 Christmas Gala. There were abundance of food, laughter, carols singing, dancing and many door prizes. What a good time we had. To all those who missed the Gala, we wish you were there to share this joyful moment.

Many thanks to our Event Chair Hugo and his committee for the organization and commitment to serve the club.  Also thanks to all those who brought guests, some of whom provided entertaining karaoke for the enjoyment of all in attendance.

A highlight of this evening’s programme were stories about club accomplishments as told by Leah on scholarships, Mahase on golf tournaments, Zack on Hospice House and Yuhan on defribillators.
It was very nice to see familiar faces, Kei Takahashi, Chris Browne and Mahase Bahadoorsingh from the good ol’ days.

The year 2022, flashed by, and has evaporated much as a gust of wind.  We haven’t seen some of you in person for long periods of time.  Hopefully, as we become more confident with the covid situation, you will be more comfortable to join us at Rotary on Wednesdays. First meeting of 2023 will be on Jan 4.

It’s the act of getting together that provides meaning for Rotary.  In simple terms, things happen when we get together.  We look forward to more people and more getting together in 2023.
