Every year and especially at Christmas, we want to share holiday spirit of yuletide with one’s family and friends. A handshake, a smile, a hug and a warm smile are things we all treasure. Over 50 attended our December 17 Christmas Gala. There were abundance of food, laughter, carols singing, dancing and many door prizes. What a good time we had. To all those who missed the Gala, we wish you were there to share this joyful moment. Many thanks to our Event Chair Hugo and his committee for the organization and commitment to serve the club. Also thanks to all those who brought guests, some of whom provided entertaining karaoke for the enjoyment of all in attendance. A highlight of this evening’s programme were stories about club accomplishments as told by Leah on scholarships, Mahase on golf tournaments, Zack on Hospice House and Yuhan on defribillators. It was very nice to see familiar faces, Kei Takahashi, Chris Browne and Mahase Bahadoorsingh from the good ol’ days. The year 2022, flashed by, and has evaporated much as a gust of wind. We haven’t seen some of you in person for long periods of time. Hopefully, as we become more confident with the covid situation, you will be more comfortable to join us at Rotary on Wednesdays. First meeting of 2023 will be on Jan 4. It’s the act of getting together that provides meaning for Rotary. In simple terms, things happen when we get together. We look forward to more people and more getting together in 2023.
