1.5 weeks to go! We have some last minute tickets available and volunteers needed. Good to see Harmon, Jade, Suna and Jacqueline getting involved.

Silent Auction - Shop 'til you drop, bid on both silent and live auction items, money raised for Rotary's 6 causes of focus.
 
Chinese Calligraphy  - appreciate fine art of brush writing by Calligrapher Raymond Chan, get Chinese spring couplets and good wishes to decorate home and business.  
 
Dragon & Lion Dance - the vibrant dances require disciplined martial arts training, performed by the Vancouver Police Department Lion Dance Team (video)
 
Chinese God of Wealth - Receive your lucky red envelop and be blessed by Chinese God of Prosperity for a year of good health, good fortune and happiness.
 
Youth Performances - special performances by local youth from Stage One Academy.
 
Chinese Rap - Be amazed by Dr. Jan Walls as he performs Chinese Rap with two sets of bamboo castanets, Dr. Walls has Ph.D. degrees in Chinese and Japanese languages and literature. (video)
 
Sichuan Face Swap & Henan Opera - Don't blink, see faces change in a matter of seconds. The Face Mask changing is a ancient art performed in a Chinese Opera, Henan is in the Central part of China. 
 
Raffle Tickets - You might be the lucky winners.
 
Game - Join in the fun and you might come out the last winner standing.
 
Dancing - After the delicious dinner, you need to work it off !
Welcome Harmon, Jade & Suna!

On January 24, District Membership Chair, Tom Smith and Assistant Governor Wayne Connorton inducted Suna Yee, Jade Luo and Harmon Bal to our club.  Tom explained the importance of attending meetings and events to stay connected and engaged with Rotary.  Tom presented Eva, our Club Membership Chair a button to recognize her sponsoring a new member and all Rotarians stepped forward to shake hands and welcome our newest Rotarians.

 
Suna Yee had a fashion manufacture business, she is currently an Insurance Broker and Partner of Horizon West Insurance Services Ltd.
 
Jade Luo graduated from University of Toronto. She is currently realtor in Nu Stream Realty Inc. Before joining real estate services,  Jade has worked in sales and marketing at organizations and a startup including General Electric, Korn Ferry Hay Group, and Unbounce.  
 
Halmon Bal has been working in television, film and media since 2000. He is a senior partner at Vancouver Television, owns two low frequency radio stations in the Okanagan; a senior partner at Think Studio - a social media marketing company and also a senior partner at Ms. Vancouver Pageants.
