Aug 17 Meeting Highlights
$84,000, quite a lot of money, wouldn't you agree?  Chair Daphne Wu and her committee reported on the success of the fundraiser for the Amitofo Care Centers in Africa.  The Gateway event on Aug 6 was sold out, and the reviews were amazing.  The audience was captivated by the talent displayed by the orphans who were performing songs and martial arts.  President James acknowledged and thanked Daphne and her committee for their tremendous success.

President James announced the upcoming Club Social on Thu Sept 15th at his Condo tower.  Please join us to celebrate the brightness moon of the year with Friends and Family, a custom of the Mid-Autumn Festival.  He also announced the Million Dollar Dinner coming up in January as well as our Club's next big fundraiser, a Chinese New Year Dinner on Feb 2, 2017.  Plan now to bring family, friends and associates for a sumptuous banquet, prizes, auctions and of course, a fun evening.

Our guest today was Cindy Lau.  Happily for us, she will be visiting our club more frequently and will become more of a familiar face, and hopefully willing participant in future Club activities.  And Harry, thanks for being there to set up our stuff for the club meetings, and sticking around afterwards to do the cleaning up, much appreciated.
