Our 2021 Christmas Gala was a resounding Success, hosted at the Sheraton Hotel in Richmond. It was a great turnout! Please see a thank you message from Angie Vanderkooi, our Christmas Gala organizer: "Good morning my Rotary family; on behalf of the Christmas Gala committee I would like to simply say thank you: - Chantelle you did an amazing, thorough job in communicating with the hotel; awesome ideas & keeping us legal   . Madeline your elaborate contributions, detailed finesse & marvelous set up did not go unnoticed. You are wonderful  . - James K. we can always rely upon you. Hidden was your creative talent upon how to decorate a striking ballroom. Appreciated is the many donations you give to our Club. Antonio, a charming gentleman, a very organized MC. Fantastic man for the job. - Whilst Claudette was unable to attend the evening, she was there in spirit, leaving her creative decorative skills on our tables. - Patty, we can certainly depend on you for your brilliant suggestions. Thank you for being the 'first impression' as you handled necessary Covid rules. - Madame President Suna, as always a spectacular, well organized, fabulous hostess. - Hugo, our technical wizard looked so debonair & handsome in his tuxedo. - Becky, always dependable  . We can certainly trust she's there to steer us in the proper direction. Thank you Becky  . - Jacqueline, a lady who maintains a gracious manner. But fierce as a Tiger as she maintains accountability for our Club's finances   . - Daphne & Vivian, thank you for your ideas in our meetings. - Cindy, appreciative we are as you inform us of attractive ideas to make an event successful.& attention to detail in areas we overlooked. - Keith, how faithful you remain; informing us of necessary areas we overlooked. No doubt always stepping up to keep us on the right path. Our reliable photographer. - I'm so happy to keep you as my mentor. Reminding me the difference between our past; now present is growth & change . - Chris B. our advisor on knowledgeable ideas, do's & don'ts; how to maintain an outstanding, stunning event. Always a remarkable gift or two up his sleeve . - Joseph who volunteered to help out by securing a box of wine for us to decorate. The set up committee did a noticeable, fine job decorating these bottles. - PE Bill Lau, what an effective, efficient, positive team you can believe & anticipate. I see success on your horizon 2022-2023. - How lucky we are to be members of the Rotary Club of Richmond . - I look forward to working with this amazing team as we prepare for an exciting, energizing, successful Lunar Chinese New Year; fierce we are like a Tiger. See you all Wednesday 15th. Sincerely, Angie v.  ." The evening was a wonderful event, with games, singing, and great food! Rotarians sang Christmas songs, led by Jimmy Yan and Chris Brown! And thanks to our great MC's - Suna and Antonio for running a great event, and keeping the run-of-show on track! And there was even a gift exchange...!
