Doubling down.....Dean and Daphne's dissertations!
Just couldn't resist some alliteration today with two wonderful classification presentations from Dean Hsieh and Daphne Wu.
Our classification talks provide so much cool stuff about our members. Our members' early days in their youth, education, through early career, family life and journeys to present day, are so inspirational. In particular, new immigrants' courage to leave their homes and countries, on a whim, and move to new lives and new countries are truly remarkable stories. Landing here is one thing, moving on to putting down roots and establishing oneself in one's community is very, very intimidating. This writer, born here, tips their hat in respect to all new immigrants who have made those choices.
If you are reading this piece and have missed some presentations, please check this website for future classification talks. And, if you are one of the scheduled classification presenters in the next few weeks, we are very anxious to learn more about you. - Keith
