Chak Au wove a delightful story from his formative childhood years in Hong Kong, through university and career around his guiding themes of service and his key values. His classification talk on Aug 24th provided a strong insight into what keeps Chak focused upon in life. Throughout his life, he has used these cornerstone values to shape his decisions his career choices and into his past service on the School Board and more recently his time on City Council. He described his role as a "bridge", bridging the School Board/City Council with the needs of the public, with a certain amount of concentration on immigrants who are not at all familiar with Canadian way of life. Chak has received many commendations and acknowledgements for his work in many aspects of the community including health field, business development and education. Classification talks by our members have all been most engaging and Chak's is no exception. Be sure to keep on eye on our website to see when the next classification talk is scheduled.
