On February 24th, 2024, the Rotary Club of Richmond held it's annual Lunar New Year Gala. And it was a resounding success. With over 200 guests, 30 + volunteers, 8 Rotary clubs, and a packed schedule of speakers, entertainment and programming, the Rotary Club of Richmond had one of its most successful Galas, raising $25,000! The money went to good causes, supporting our long standing partners at the Rotary Hospice House, Mature Women's Health Campaign of the BC Women's Foundation, Richmond Multicultural Community Service and Adopt a Village in Laos. The evening featured our popular silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle draw, raising hundreds of dollars! We were also fortunate to have several dignitaries including City Councilors, MLA's and Members of Parliament for Richmond. The evening also featured a remarkable Lion and Dragon Dance, performed by the Vancouver Huang Kun Dragon and Lion Team. Over 30 Rotarians volunteered at the event, from MC's, to managing the 50/50, registration and much more. Representatives from all our partners attending the evening. Thank you to our partners at the Rotary Hospice House, Mature Women's Health Campaign of the BC Women's Foundation, Richmond Multicultural Community Service and Adopt a Village in Laos for the work you do and for attending our Lunar New year Gala. The Rotary Club of Richmond also raised money through the annual push up competition. Thank you to all for attending a remarkable evening. And for all the guests from far and wide who attended! We look forward to seeing you next year!
