Pro Bono Society
Access Pro Bono Society states in their Mission Statement they "provide quality pro bono legal services for people and non-profit organization of limited means".  Through their services they have many resources, ranging from summary legal advice clinics to full legal representation.  Our speaker Jimmy Yan, Project and Information Officer, introduced many programs offered through the Society.  Some include Consumer Protection, Employment Standards, Civil Chambers Litigation, Residential Tenancy and Wills Clinic, just to mention a few.  Visit their website www.accessprobono.ca for more information.

MLA John Yap and his assistant Paige Robertson, paid us a special visit to present us the Flag of British Columbia.  John is a member of the Rotary Club of Richmond Sunset, and has been a long time friend and supporter of our Club and our activities and fundraisers.  With MP Alice Wong's gift of the Canada Flag and John Yap's BC Flag, we have filled a fundamental element of the Rotary Club, specifically, our National and Provincial Flags, which will soon grace our future meetings.
