We’re excited to announce a collaborative event between the Rotary Club of Richmond and the Rotary Club of Steveston! Each year, the Steveston Business Merchants Association hosts its popular Steveston Village Trick-or-Treat event for Richmond families.
This beloved Halloween tradition brings out hundreds of children and their parents for a fun and festive afternoon in the heart of Steveston. Approximately 95% of Steveston businesses participate, opening their doors and handing out treats to the young trick-or-treaters.
This year, the Rotary Club of Richmond is joining in the fun by setting up our own booth at the corner of Moncton Street and 2nd Avenue. We’ll have a festive table decorated for Halloween, complete with a Rotary banner, and our team of volunteers will be on hand to pass out candy and connect with the community. Candy will be handed out by Bruce Marshall (President of Rotary Club of Steveston), his daughter, and several high school Rotary members.
Rotarians from both clubs will also be engaging with parents and promoting the great work Rotary does in the community.
This event is a fantastic opportunity to:
- Promote Rotary to a wide audience
- Build community connections
- Celebrate Halloween with Richmond families
- Best of all the community comes to us!
We hope to see many of our fellow Rotarians join in the fun and help make this event a success.
