Speaker Linda McGowan
Multiple Sclerosis and a wheelchair is no deterrent to adventure! Linda was a marathon runner, completing her last marathon a few months before being diagnosed with MS in 1983. Since 1989, she has travelled in a wheelchair to more than 130 countries. In her book "Travelling the world with MS in a Wheelchair", Linda shows how using creativity, patience and an open-mind, she conquered unique challenges and enjoyed a plethora of wondrous sights, people, foods and experiences, all from the apparent vulnerability of her wheelchair.
Linda holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), and has worked in community health for over 40 years. Read more
