On Wednesday, December 12, 2012 luncheon, we had lots of fun and raised $320 for "End Polio", with the Canadian Government and Gates Foundation matching grant, it totalled up to $960!

To mark the special theme around the number 12, attendees brought Raffle prizes, each prize comprised of 12 items, chocolates, candies, cookies, cupcakes, cards, oranges, lighted rubber ducks.....

One Rotarian summed up saying "By us having a good time 1,500 children will be protected from polio".

The fight to end polio is led by the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, which includes Rotary International, UNICEF, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and governments of the world, with the support of many others around the globe.
