Rick Duff, from Rotary Club of Steveston paid us a visit on Wednesday meeting. He brought us a heartfelt request that we help the Bahamas's recently hit by Hurricane Dorian. Flooding has rendered the hospital unusable. There are dire water shortages. Many people have perished. The International Airport is devastated, hampering international aid.
The four Rotary Clubs in Richmond are joining forces for a walk to raise awareness and funds. It will be on Sat Sep 21 from 11:00 to 2:00 at Gary Point Park. Rotarians, friends, family and public at large are invited to participate to provide badly needed funds for supplies and assistance to the Bahamas.

We were also joined today with guest Suzanna Xu, a local resident and businesswoman and Angelo Boholst from Rotary Hospice House. A delicious lunch provided by host Janice Froese at the Richmond Curling Club.
