Jerry Chen, the President of the Sinova Group, shared his insights of the impact of current trade wars on Canadian exports with members of the Rotary Club of Richmond. Using statistics, charts and case studies, Jerry illustrated the scope of trade friction and trade relationship among the US, China and Canada. He encouraged BC to take upon the key role in its "export diversification" and to quickly seize the very brief trade opportunities when retaliatory tariffs are imposed on each other by both the US and China. Chen's presentation was warmly received and the topic even attracted the Hon. George Chow Minister for Trade to the luncheon.
