Richmond Rotary Director and Project Service Chair, Jimmy Yan, sponsors Dr. Louis Hang for a Paul Harris Fellowship award.

PAUL HARRIS FELLOW RECOGNITION | District 5450
The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of US$1,000 to The Rotary Foundation.

Rotary established the recognition in 1957 to encourage and show appreciation for substantial contributions to what was then the Foundation’s only program, Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study, the precursor to Ambassadorial Scholarships.

Louis Huang received an award from the Rotary Club of Richmond.

Dr. Huang has a long list of accomplishments in science, medicine and research. After immigrating to Canada in the early 2000's, he became an active member in the Chinese-Canadian community, and is now a prominent community leader. Dr. Huang lives in Richmond - which has been his home for over 20 years.

He now joins the ranks of other prominent recipients including Jimmy Carter, Boris Yeltsin, Mother Theresa and Indira Ghandi.

Congratulations Dr. Huang!

And as a reminder...in March of this year, Dean Hsieh surprised fellow Rotarian Angie Vanderkooi with her first Paul Harris Fellow!
