Very vibrant luncheon today at the Richmond Curling Club. With 24 people, this has been one our largest attended luncheons in recent memory.  We were honoured by our guests today, Mr Lu Lu and his wife Helen, Paul Hui and Wayne Duzita, all who were presented with a Paul Harris Fellow by District Governor Don Evans and President James.

Wayne has served on numerous Boards and Committees such the Oval Board, Canuck Place, Tourism Richmond, Chamber of Commerce and Richmond Cares Richmond Gives.  Paul Hui was recognized for generously donating his warehouse of Rattan Furniture for Forest Fire Relief last summer.  Paul not only donated his inventory, he donated his time over several days.  Mr. Lu was recognized for bringing the Thousand Hands Performance to Vancouver, and donating $10,000 from the proceeds to End Polio.

DG Don also inducted new member Ibrahim Elburai.  Ibrahim joins us with an interesting classifcation "Antiterrorism Consulting".  We are looking forward to some interesting stories from him.

Daphne presented the Rotary Club of Richmond a certificate of recognition for donating $2,500 to support earthquake relief in Hualien, Taiwan.

In attendance adding support were Eric Wang and Michael Chiu from RC Richmond Sunset.  Pat Watson and Ed Gavsie brought greetings from Richmond Cares Richmond Gives.  Lasagna lunch was well received, with salad, buns, potatoes and dessert too.
