A Rotary Moment, what is a Rotary Moment?  Somewhere on our journey we found a gift of friendship and a common purpose of doing good things for others.  One day on our journey, we experienced a beam of light, call it an epiphany of Rotary.  One day, we heard a calling, a whisper and a tug of our sleeve.  That tug on the sleeve was Rotary and that moment was your Rotary moment.

Some newer members may not have had that tug on the sleeve as yet, as their journey has just started.  Other members, have seen and experienced one or more Rotary events that punctuated Rotary for themselves.

Today we heard from 12 Rotarians, who shared their moments, so varied, and so illuminating.  Thanks to those who attended today to share their "ah ha" moment with us.  We learned of the global scope of Rotary from those who visited clubs in other countries or attended International Conventions.  We learned about friendships and networking simply by attending local Rotary functions and meeting people.  Youth Service was touched upon, as was International Service Projects, Camaraderie at District Conferences, inspirational speakers, doing local projects.....well the list goes on like a Vegas buffet.

Rotary provides a vast array of opportunities.  Rotary can be anything you want it to be.  Rotary doesn't do anything.  Rotary is simply the name of our bond.  You... you and I make things happen.  When our Club slogan reads "We Make Good Things Happen", that "we" is you and your colleagues.

A bright sunny day, a bright sunny meeting.  Our national anthem led by Angie, invocation by Henry and a wish to our birthday boy today.....P.P. James Hsieh.  Stay safe and keep your distance, so we can all meet again next week when we hear from Richmond Centre for Disabilities.  Don't be a stranger, log in next week so we can say hello.
