Why? Why do we do what we do in Rotary to help others? There are "needs" that call to us, and we, along with our friends are there to respond.

Two such friends are Mr. and Mrs. Spencer and Pandora Cheung, of Grand Hale Marine Products. They answered the call by organizing, coordinating and executing a concert at Gateway Theatre in Richmond.

Spencer arranged for His Dream Continues Band and two string quartets to put on a show Sep 22nd. Through the efforts of Spencer and the Rotary Club of Richmond, a cheque was received for $10,000 to support Rotary Youth Projects.

Attending, and extending their gratitude were Annie Lei, President Interact Club McRoberts, and Sarah Arnsdorf, President Rotaract Club of Richmond. Henry Lee, President of The Rotary Club of Richmond, presented both Spencer and Pandora, our highest acknowledgement, a Paul Harris Fellow.

One cannot express in mere words, how much Spencer puts into presenting these shows for charitable purposes. All we can say is a heartfelt thank you for his generous spirit and answering the call. Thank you for helping us "Make Good Things Happen".
