Over 110 Rotarians and friends listened to Rumana Monzur at last Wednesday Zoom meeting. We all came out inspired, her journey from an abusive marriage to now a single mom with a law degree and so much to look forward to in a bright future.

Rumana lost her sight as a result of a horrendous act of domestic violence. Along with blindness came many hardships and challenges. Yet, in facing these challenges, she did not lose her perspective.
What she told herself was, “You just fell in the garbage, what can you do now?’ Either I can stay there, or I can stand up as quickly as possible and start to move forward. I didn’t want to lose hope. My motto: Be Infinite”
