Do you want to help with the rebuilding of the Lytton Chinese Museum?
Lorna Fandrich is the owner and founder of the Lytton Chinese History Museum. She came and spoke to the Richmond Rotary club a couple of weeks ago about the museum and last summer's tragic wildfires in which the museum was burnt down. (We have reposted the story below to remind you).
Richmond Rotary was touched by her story, her commitment to Lytton, and her dedication to preserving the Chinese community's history in her hometown.
In order to get the museum back on it's feet, Lorna needs support, and we are seeing if Richmond Rotarians are interested in helping.
Lorna is looking for cash donations to help rebuild the museum, or any physical artifacts to replenish the museum.
Here is how you can help:
You could donate any Chinese artifacts to Lorna, or she is open to purchasing them as well.
She also has a shortfall of approximately $30,000 to rebuild the museum. If any members are interested in making a cash donation, you can e-transfer to Treasurer@richmondrotary.com and indicate Lytton Museum.
Lorna is passionate about telling the story of Lytton's Chinese community, and she wants to rebuild the museum, further establishing its status as an emblem of hope and resilience to bring back the Lytton community.
