Welcome to our newest member, Frank De Sensi!

On Wednesday March 1st, 2023, the Rotary Club of Richmond welcomed its 37th member, Frank De Sensi!

In July 2022, Frank De Sensi backed his bags, put his belongings in storage, sold his house, and drove across North America.  Living in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, Frank drove across the country until he settled in beautiful Richmond, British Columbia.

Frank is a Rotarian from the Birdsboro Rotary Club, Pennsylvania.  He joined Rotary in 2015 and became his club president in 2020 until 2022.

A few months ago, and very shortly after moving to Richmond, Frank was looking for a new Rotary Club.  He stopped by a Rotary Club of Richmond lunch meeting at Continental Seafood to get a feel for the club.  He then attended our annual Gala dinner. After meeting the Club and seeing how well its run, he decided to join our club!

And last week, District Governor, John Berry inducted our newest member.

Born in New York City, Frankie has had an exciting career, service to his country, several hobbies and interests, and a huge family.

Frank is a proud Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1969, which is fitting as he is born on November 11th - Veterans Day.  Following his stint in the Military, Frank became a Journeyman Ironworker, which turned into a year career that took him all around the country. Frank was even a First Responder during the attacks on 9/11 in New York City, like many Journeymen.

After an exciting 40 year career, Frank eventually retired in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania in 2009.

Frank is most proud of his big family. He is a proud Father of 2 daughters, a Grandfather to 6 children, and a Great Grandfather to 1!  He is a HUGE NY Yankees fan having visited all three stadiums.

He enjoys reading, doing crossword & jigsaw puzzles, doing physical activity & collecting guitars, 27 in total,  mostly electric & a few acoustics.

Welcome to our club, Frank!
