First ever Hybrid Meeting!
On July 7th, 2021, Richmond Rotary held it`s first ever Hybrid Zoom/In-person meeting. As we begin to return to normal after the pandemic, we are going to begin more in-person events and meetings, with a Hybrid zoom option for those who choose to use it.

It was also President Suna`s first meeting as our newly inducted President!  Suna delivered an inspiring speech to rally the troops as we embark on what will be an exciting and active year for Rotary.

With about 6 Rotarians on Zoom (as can be seen on the screens in the back), and Rotarians in person at Continental Seafood restaurant, the meeting went off without a hitch.

Here is Dean speaking in person right to the folks on zoom.

And here are the rest of the Rotarians watching everyone tuning in on zoom.

Donation to Richmond Hospital Foundation
On July 7th, 2021, Dean Hsieh, James Kao,  Suna Yee, Bill Lau, and Jacqueline Ho went to the Richmond Hospital to deliver a $20,000 cheque to the Richmond Hospital Foundation.

This was part of the Richmond Hospital Foundation`s Surgical Restart campaign. The Richmond Hospital Foundation is aiming to raise funds to help improve surgical equipment, as surgeries resume after COVID-19 postponements.

The initiative, Surgical Restart, is fundraising with a goal of more than $2 million for equipment to improve surgical needs and specialties.
