Fellowship. Today's luncheon can be best described in a word, "FELLOWSHIP". We were networking and connecting, laughing and conversing, enjoying the energy of nearly a full house today. We heard some updates from members Antonio, Lulu, Barbara, honorary member Alice and visitor Scott Campbell (Steveston Club). Sgt at arms Harry, raffled off a valuable "Rotary Foundation Centennial" bottle of wine, which President James won by drawing high card. Our President summarized efforts this past weekend at the Rattan/Parking Lot sale. He expressed his thanks to the volunteers, the media team of James K, Lulu, Dean and Becky, and especially acknowledged Paul Hui and family for donating his inventory as well as providing manpower throughout the weekend. Nothing can express Rotary spirit and fellowship better than camaraderie of volunteers working side by side, as was the case through Saturday and Sunday. Proceeds of about $3,000 will be sent to BC Wildfire Relief. There are some items in Paul's warehouse, which will be advertised on Craigslist. Some Rotarians missed the sale and are invited to contact Paul for personal viewing.
