Help us reach our goal
Thank you all who supported our Sanitizer project. To reach our goal, we need your help to purchase sanitizers and spread the word to your friends and colleagues. The more sanitizers we sell, the more low income families we can help. Together we can make good things happen in our community.

Sanitizer pricing: 500ml for $10 and 150ml for $5. These are made locally and approved by Health Canada. No amount is small. Place your order with Suna Yee by email secretary@richmondrotary.com. Cash donations are also appreciated, please contact Jacqueline treasurer@richmondrotary.com

Write to Read Project
You can do this too.

Take an idea, add a little effort and do something good for others, something big.

The Rotarian Magazine shows names of people taking ideas and producing wonderful deeds big and small.

Our own PDG Bob Blacker, grasped such an idea, to provide books to indigenous groups across BC. Former Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, the Honourable Steven Point brought up the topic of books for BC. From one casual conversation, The WRITE TO READ PROJECT was formed and since then, 20 Literacy Centres have been spread all over the province.

There are plans for more.  Each Centre not only provides library services, these services are available to preserve native word and culture. Each Centre provides employment for local people. Children, and adults too, now can enjoy warm, comfortable and positive settings for knowledge and growth.

Hey, it was a Rotarian who carried the ball and organized 20 Literacy Centres (so far). Grasp your idea and run with it.

Miles to end polio

Rotary International General Secretary John Hewko is continuing his commitment to fundraise for PolioPlus by taking on a 42-mile solo ride on October 24 World Polio Day. He will be fundraising through Rotary’s new peer-to-peer platform, Raise for Rotary. Here, you can create custom fundraising pages to share with your social networks and raise funds for The Rotary Foundation, including the Polio Fund.

Each November, John and a team of staff join Rotary members to cycle up to 100 miles in El Tour de Tucson to raise funds for polio eradication. Through Miles to End Polio, Rotary has raised more than $53.3 million for eradication efforts, including matching funds from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
