Nancy Yurkovich - A most difficult conversation

Nancy has been a resident of Richmond over 50 years. She graduated from the Montreal General Hospital and later, the University of British Columbia.

In her role as community activist she advocated for enhancement of the palliative care continuum and the creation of a free-standing community hospice in Richmond. In this capacity she collaborated with a variety of groups in the community including the Rotary Club of Richmond. Her interest in end-of-life care includes encouraging people to express their wishes for future health care decisions
