Accession of Charles III to the throne of Canada and the Monarch’s relevance to us today.
The recent passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has focused our minds and made us look at our government and how it functions. Of especial note are the many cereonies hwich happen at the end of one reign and the commencement of another. The recent Accession council and Royal Proclamations brought to mind and memory several things. I will examine the age old ceremony and explain its relevance to us today and its importance to both our Constitutional Monarchy and government.
