2019 Rotary Vocational Training Team to Kenya - Jason Chow

Building on the work of a previous District 5040 Foundation Grant, which provided computer labs to two schools in rural Kenya,  the team made up with 6 school teachers led by PDG John Anderson travelled to Kenya on March 16 to conduct 2 weeks workshop to train teachers to teach with technology and implement 21Century Learning Skills in the classrooms .

Richmond secondary Teacher Jason has 11 years of secondary school teaching experience in BC. He primarily teaches senior physics and has experience teaching all disciplines of science in junior grades.

Jason is very involved in the school community.  He coaches the school’s competitive science teams and the junior ultimate team. He currently serves as the staff’s co-professional development chair and has previously served as a technology education mentor.

In the wider community, Jason is a founding board member of the Vancouver Dodgeball League. He has volunteered with the organization for over 12 years. Jason has an M.Ed in secondary education and a B.Sc in physics from UBC. He lives in Vancouver with his wife Carmen.
