TechAbility by Jacqueline B. de Raadt
TechAbility is a Research and Innovation project funded by the government of BC and managed by ASTTBC, to assess innovative and collaborative approaches for connecting career-oriented job seekers with disabilities/diverse abilities, to technical occupations in BC.
Their goal is to recruit 42 participants for customized pre-employment cohort training followed by job shadowing and mentorship opportunities, in order to develop a framework and matrix of 20 different technical occupations ideal for people with diverse abilities.
Jacqueline B. de Raadt is currently manager of Executive Initiatives and Community Relations for ASTTBC, a 10,000 member professional organization. She has an extensive background in human relations, specialising in the technical and engineering professions.
