The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal in Canada by Shawn Wade

The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal will be a commemorative medal to mark the seventieth anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the thrones of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms in 2022. The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal will be awarded to people who work in public service, including representatives of the Armed Forces, the emergency services, and the prison services.

Some of our club members were the proud recipient of Queen Elizabeth II medals. 

• MP Kenny has been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal, and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal
• Chak Au has been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Shawn M. Wade obtained his BA (1st Class Honours) in History from Simon Fraser University and Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws from UBC. Shawn is a dedicated Chief Executive, Army Officer and Youth Development leader with over 3 decades of voluntary community service experience. Shawn is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Commonwealth Society, Mainland of British Columbia Branch (RCS). Shawn’s interest in the Commonwealth began at an early age, and was motivated by his life-long interest in history.
