Support for Richmond's Seniors 
  • Several COVID initiatives donated total 16,000 disposable masks to Richmond Low Income Seniors, Richmond cares, Richmond gives and 6 community service organizations in Richmond, Burnaby and Vancouver.   

     

Support for Richmond's Youth 

  • Sponsored Rotaract and Interact Club for teenagers and young adults.

  • Raised $3000 at Shred Day for Gateway Theatre Summer Camp for kids and Chimo Community Services. 

     

 
Supporting the Richmond Hospital Foundation and other Health initiatives 
  • Annual Chinese New Year Gala raises about $20,000 each year for different beneficiaries such as the Richmond Hospital Foundation, St. John Ambulance AED units installed in Skytrain, Richmond Boys & Girls Club, Rotary Hospice, SOS Children's Village BC for foster children, Pathways Clubhouse Richmond for mental wellness,  Gateway Kids Summer Camp, Vocational training for Mexico youth, Safe Start Feed-U-Cate and Scholarships. 

     

  • Raised over $500,000 towards building a 10-bed Rotary Hospice in Richmond and ongoing support upgrade of the facility. 

  • Gala Evening raised $350,000 for Richmond Senior Facilities and Salvation Army Rotary Hospice House

  • Raised app. $400,000 for Richmond Hospital Foundation.

  • 50th Anniversary Gala raised close to $30,000 supporting veterans and artistic programming.
  • Theatre night raised $7,000 to support Salvation Army Rotary Hospice House and Gateway Theatre Academy for the Performing Arts.

  • Annual Christmas Hamper Fund.

  • Comfort Bus for Richmond Fire Department.

  • Furnished a room for the Cancer Society. 

  • Built and donated picnic tables for the MacDonald Beach Project.

  • Support Richmond Center of Disability, SOS Childrens Village BC, Covenant House for homeless youth. 

  • Held Photo Contest to engage Richmond Youth to capture the spirit of Richmond.

  • Provided educational scholarship.

  • Hosted group study exchange and youth summer exchange.

  • COVID Relief Task collaborated with other Rotary Clubs and organizations, US$35,000 was raised to purchase 23,585 pcs of medical grade N95 Masks and 1,150 Protective suits, they were delivered to 5 hospitals in Wuhan, China.

  • Rotary Rocks Richmond Concert raised $10,000 for The Rotary Foundation

  • Push up Challenge raised $7,000 for Polio Eradication and Rotary Foundation.

  • Raised over $13,000 to help build school and dormitory in South Africa.

  • Purchased ambulance for India, Jamaica and Trinidad.

  • Sponsored Shelter Boxes to aid victims in disaster countries.

  • Purchased 53 wheelchairs to South Africa.

  • Sent relief supplies to aid Grenada Hurricane victims.

  • Secured medical equipment and surgical tools for the training of Ghanaian doctors and nurses at the teaching hospital.

  • Shoes for low income tea plantation children in Sri Lanka
