Rotary Club of Richmond B.C. undertook an annual tradition of supporting those in need during the holiday season.
On December 24th, 2020, Rotary Club of Richmond members Suna Yee, Dean Hsieh and Dave Rogers stopped by the Minoru Seniors Society to donate masks and lunch for vulnerable seniors.

Our club donated 6,000 masks with a retail value of $3,000, and $1,200 for a Christmas lunch for 100 low-income seniors. In each bag, a senior received a Christmas Lunch, a carton of 50 masks, and a White Spot and Save-On coupon.

We raised the money by donating one box of masks for every box purchased by members and friends.

The Minoru Seniors Society is a critical pillar for Richmond seniors, improving quality of life and delivering innovative and exceptional programs and services.

Many seniors are experiencing isolation because of the pandemic. As we celebrate the Holiday Season, it is even more critical to support those who are isolated and alone.. Low-income seniors in particular are experiencing hardship at this time, making this initiative even more important.

Sing Tao Daily was on site to report on the important event.
